During the Conference " The Development and its Impact on the Environment " which was held during September 1997 in Riyadh, specialists warned that pollution is the cause for many fatal diseases, and warned about excessive noise in the environment and its negative effect on people's health.
Since 1994, Zahid Industries, part of the Zahid group have been making sound attenuated enclosures, which meet the European specifications for noise control.

Sound Attenuated Enclosures
During normal operation the noise level of a typical generating set is from 100 to 116
Dba. By using acoustic enclosures specially designed for Saudi Arabia, Zahid Industries can reduce this noise level by up to 40
Dba, right down to a noise that is hardly noticeable. This will be required in residential areas, schools, universities, office complexes, hospitals, and in other cases to meet the local laws and building regulations.
